Tarek Fatah is a hero. The world needs many more like him - people who are not afraid to look at powerful interests directly in the face and speak truth regardless of the consequences. While greatly applauding his valor, I look around to see if I can find more heroes from other religious backgrounds. You see, Tarek Fatah is a Muslim - one who has seen the attempted hijacking of his religion by a radical, fundamentalist element and is determined to 'blow the whistle', even as he makes sure to clarify that his warnings are against the hijackers and not the religion itself, to which he still belongs. So I ask, where are the brave men of the Jewish faith who will speak out against teachings like this one by Rabbi Yitzhak Ginsburg, head of the Kever Yossev Yeshiva (school of Talmud): "The killing by a Jew of a non-Jew, i.e. a Palestinian, is considered
essentially a good deed, and Jews should therefore have no compunction
about it.", followed up with equivalent deeds more or less on a daily basis in his 'neck of the woods'. I know of at least one Jewish counterpart to Fatah - Gilad Atzmon - and will try to source a future video or article of his to share with you, knowing full well that I may be labeled an Anti-Semite for so doing. Here are a number of examples of Jewish fascist statements.
Now here is a call to genocide by 'Christian' scholar Dr. Jason Lisle: "I said I believe that to end the terrorist attacks, you need to kill
ALL MUSLIMS. Which part of that was “cryptic” to you? Which one of those
two words did you misunderstand?" Or how about this gem from a noted 'Christian' pastor: "You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he
thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to
go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... We
have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we
exercise that ability."
– Pat Robertson, calling for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. There are many other religions around today, but I think those listed would be a good place to start!
The difficulty is not so much that fundamentalism and religious fascism abound in today's world, but that so many seemingly rational people (of all faiths) seem to find it easier to find the 'mote' that lies in the eye of another religion, while failing to recognize the 'beam' that may exist closer to home in the eye of their own. The truth is that all fascist approaches are to be deplored, whether they arise from so-called religious beliefs or from a philosophy of governmental control (remember that Adolph Hitler claimed to be a devout Christian!). The battle that is forthcoming is not one of which earthly religion will conquer all others - instead it will entail the demise of ALL false religions in a violent manner as the State (biblical 'Wild Beast') tires of the harlot that has ridden it for so very long and turns on and devours all who have been a part of that ride. This is the stated plan of the Almighty who will use the earthly powers to assist in 'cleaning house' by "putting it into their hearts" to take such actions. When world governments alone remain 'standing in a place they ought not to be', by that time under the leadership of the Anti-Christ, they will later be defeated by heavenly - not earthly - forces to clear the way for a new system of things. This is the real battle that has yet to be waged.
