Wars Abroad & Oppression At Home: Empire's Last Days

"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy." -- James Madison

From the ancient Babylonian through to the Roman which ended more than a thousand years ago, the world's empires have all gone through the phases of growth, maturity, decline and ultimately - failure. Without exception none have ever foreseen their impending demise, thinking they were too powerful to be vanquished by any outside threat. Of course, the most insidious enemy (the one delivering the death blow) is usually the one within, resulting from the very human failings of arrogance and hubris.

For those who have eyes to see, the signs of terminal decline are all around as the empire of today continues to move in a direction that puts it on a collision course with the well-being and prosperity of its citizenry. Under the guise of fighting an enemy which can never be defeated - since the tactic of terror has been around from time immemorial, the rulers of the empire have contrived to weaken its subjects through a continual erosion of their rights and freedoms, resulting in a nation of slaves. Having very nearly succeeded in making its people fully reliant on the State for their protection and eventually their livelihood, they can only end up totally defenseless, lacking in the basics needed for self-sufficiency and survival - exposed to the simplest danger once the State itself is incapacitated.

Has this been the plan all along? How has it come to happen that the rulers of a powerful State have been more successful in destroying its freedoms than the feared terrorist could ever have dreamed? Has this simply been the latest phase of an ongoing push towards world government, one where the people of a one-time champion of freedom have been conditioned to accept and love their shackles? They say that the proof of the pudding is in the eating - are the intestinal rumblings about to start?

10 Ways the U.S. Gov't Has Destroyed Its Own Declaration of Independence

Anthony Freda Art
Activist Post

The irony cannot be escaped that a country that issued a document codifying independence for free citizens, should turn into one that declares outright war on all that signifies independent living and prosperity.

It is not a king this time who is exerting ownership over the land and its people, but it is a similar top-down tyrannical system that employs police state enforcers in much the same manner.

In America, this tyranny has remained largely disguised behind pleasantries and a growing bureaucracy centered around Orwellian safety measures, but those days are over; the king (the tyranny) has returned to make its move from the shadows out into the open square for public view.  Its kid gloves have transformed to an iron fist, which always seems to herald the final phase.

The Declaration of Independence has been inverted in 10 key ways:
