American Grand Experiment: Rise and Fall of Freedom

THE SECRET COVENANT

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”
Alexis de Tocqueville

"I have no fear that the result of our experiment will be that men may be trusted to govern themselves without a master."

Asked "What is America?" most would respond that it is the territorial area occupied by the 50 States stretching from Florida in the South to Alaska in the North and extending to Hawaii over in the West! But anyone who reads history knows only too well that, over time, national boundaries come and go. America actually represents an idea. In an era dominated by monarchy and empire, the notion that men could govern themselves without the need for a ruling class was considered to be an insane idea. This 'grand experiment' was seen by world powers as a recipe for disaster - one that would surely fail. Aware of the pitfalls of democracy, the founders made sure to steer clear of its perils - Ben Franklin responding to a woman asking what they had come up with: "A republic, madam, if you can keep it"!

Today America is imbued with a false patriotism - supporting wrong over right, power over principle! Techniques once condemned as torture are now enhanced interrogation, deemed okay once we do it. Locking people up indefinitely or killing by drone are just fine once our President gives his approval. Giving material and logistical support to the very groups we once labeled as terrorists (al Qaeda in Libya and MEK in Iran) to kill civilians is now kosher so long as they only operate in other countries! Oblivious to the havoc wreaked on the lives of humans elsewhere, egged on by a cheer-leading press, their sense of patriotism is limited to unquestioned support for their leaders actions - right or wrong. True patriotism entails loyalty to founding principles - standing up as necessary to misguided leaders!

America, the concept of freedom for the individual - not rulership by the elites, died a long time ago! It died as free markets were abandoned in favor of a raft of regulations to protect - instead stifling - and, when Central Planning replaced market forces via a privately-owned monopoly Federal Reserve. It died when neocon elements joined with a rogue ally to perpetrate 9/11, using it as a Pearl Harbor to justify declaring war on Arab and Muslim countries and so keep on feeding a hungry war machine!

The unseen forces behind much of modern history - the elites - have decided that the time is right to 'pull the plug' on the grand experiment of freedom which was launched more than two centuries ago! Having organized both sides of a controlled narrative throughout most of the 20th century, they have now decided to do to America what was done to its cold-war enemy, setting it up for a coming defeat. Their plans are for one-world government through the New World Order - subservience for mankind!

America, the country is now but a hollow shell of what its founders hoped it would one day become! Madison warned: "means of defense against foreign danger..become instruments of tyranny at home" - this is near to becoming reality, with deadly drones and presidential killings without judicial review!

Alexis de Tocqueville counseled us that: "..a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship". This seems to be what now lurks around the next corner, as laws and physical infrastructure are in place to declare martial law with the next threat- engineered or not!

Epitaph: The Late, Great United States

It's Not America Anymore

Many of us in the liberty movement find ourselves searching for a distinct root cause of the trials and tribulations of American culture — the Holy Grail catalyst that, if unraveled, would save this country and heal the septic wounds covering the landscape of our hobbled society. The obvious answer would be to remove the global elites who are poisoning the well from the picture entirely. Yes, this has to be done eventually. However, we must also identify how those elites have been able to so thoroughly con the masses of this nation for so long.
What inherent weakness has made us susceptible to manipulation? For this question, there are NO easy answers. But, if I had to choose a single frailty of our collective psyche as paramount to our downfall, I would say that Americans most of all are confounded by their own patriotism. We often embrace the ideal without knowing what it really means.
There are in fact two kinds of patriotism: the concrete, and the imagined. Many Americans fall haphazardly into the fantasy of being patriotic. They define patriotism upon the exploits of the mainstream and of the government in control at the time. They become cheerleaders for the establishment instead of stalwart champions of their country’s founding principles. In fact, true patriotism is NOT about blindly defending one’s nation or leadership regardless of its trespasses; true patriotism is about defending the philosophy that made one’s nation possible and prosperous in the first place — even if that means standing against the power structure in place today.
I often hear the uneducated and unaware claim that America and its principles have been a bane to the rest of the world. They say America is at the center of the vampire squid, flailing its vicious tentacles against innocent foreign civilizations. This is an oversimplification at best. The crimes that these well-meaning but naïve activists scorn cannot be attributed to “America” because the American ideal has been completely abandoned by those in the seat of power in our modern era. We do not live in “America” — at least, not the America that the Founding Fathers and authors of the Constitution created.  Therefore, the original philosophy that gave birth to America is not the issue, the abuse and neglect of that philosophy is.
America has been ransacked and deformed into a hideous lampoon of its former self. This has been done for the most part through the destruction of the guiding principles we pretend we still hold onto as a culture, but in reality have cast aside. If we are ever to undo the damage that has already been done, we have to rediscover what the original design of America was. Wailing and growling about the inadequacies of the present does nothing unless we also establish where it is that we have fallen from grace. What is America supposed to be? What did the Founders truly intend?
America Is Supposed To Be Controlled By The People
