The Two Pearl Harbors

Two events occurring 60 years apart resulted in America being catapulted into a leadership role in the major conflicts of their time. Pearl Harbor was the springboard for entering WWII while 9/11 became the lit fuse for the 21st century War on Terror. How do they compare? Three months prior to Pearl Harbor on September 11, 1941, the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the Pentagon took place. Sixty years to the day onwards, the World Trade Center towers along with the very Pentagon were targets in the 9/11 attacks.

Immediately after the December 7, 1941 'surprise' attack, FDR in a famous radio address described it as "a date which will live in infamy". Though having secretly made plans to enter the war, he had promised the public that this would not happen unless the US was attacked first. Agreement was widespread among Americans at the time that the 'surprise' attack gave the US little choice but to retaliate by entering the war - there were 2,400 deaths & over 1,100 wounded. Contrary to the official storyline however, overwhelming evidence has accumulated over the years to show that FDR knew that the attacks were about to happen, yet deliberately kept all intelligence from his key commanders (please watch video only if details are too long) -  Pearl Harbor - Mother of All Conspiracies.

Similar to Pearl Harbor, 9/11 was (at least initially) widely believed to be a surprise attack. The psychological shock was of such a magnitude that there was a general outcry not only in America, but world-wide against such horrific actions and in support of swift retaliation. Although a surprise to most in the military, key decision makers did have foreknowledge. Specific warnings came from at least 15 countries. At least five investigations into the flight schools were impeded by FBI management. Insider trading on American and United Airlines in the week before the attack showed foreknowledge among certain financial institutions, including a firm whose former director was the Executive Director at the CIA on 9/11. Mainstream media accounts document that several political, military and corporate leaders were warned not to fly or were moved out of the way -  9/11: All In One Chunk.

A full year before 9/11, the  Project for the New American Century, a think tank comprising most of the key officials of the GWB administration, published a report titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses" that urged the US to extend its dominance over the world, starting with the oil rich areas of the Middle East. Disheartened at how long it would take to bring about the new changes they wrote further that "the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event--like a new Pearl Harbor." This GWB diary entry was posted @ 11:30 pm on the night of 9/11 - "The Pearl Harbor of the 21st Century took place today."

While it took many years of investigations to bring to light evidence suppressed from the Pearl Harbor attack, less than a decade after the events of 9/11 much information has already surfaced thanks to the world-wide web and the advanced technology of today. Casualties for both events are similar though nearly all 3,000 victims of 9/11 were civilian. In addition to foreknowledge of the attacks, evidence continues to mount that, aside from merely standing down from protecting American lives in order to gain their 'Pearl Harbor' the GWB administration may have played an active role in ensuring their success. Thousands of architects and engineers continue to insist that jet fuel does not burn anywhere near the temperature required to melt steel, and that no steel-frame building has ever collapsed due to fire before or since. Instead both towers and WTC7 pancaked downward at free-fall speed in a manner characteristic of controlled demolition - 9/11 - The Uncomfortable Truth.

While it should cause great discomfort among the majority to come to realize that those entrusted with the safety and security of the populace may not only have looked the other way in allowing a deadly attack to proceed, but may have gone further in order to deliver a spectacular level of devastation, the ramifications if true should be cause for even greater concern. Two expensive wars have already resulted with a third looking increasingly likely. Aside from the above examples (world/US) history is replete with such  false-flag incidents. Although there are numerous websites dedicated to uncovering the hidden truths of 9/11, those who would suggest that it is unpatriotic to question the official version of what transpired on that watershed day may find this one of interest - Patriots Question 9/11.
Perhaps the most commonly used war pretext device is an apparently unprovoked enemy attack.  Through history, such "attacks" have been deliberately incited, completely fabricated, allowed to occur, or engineered and then blamed on the desired enemy.  The event is then exploited to arouse widespread public sympathy for the victims, to demonize the attackers and to build widespread support for military "retaliation" among the general population, as well as among politicians and other leaders of public opinion. [Extract from Going to War by Richard Sanders.]
